The Buddy Davenport State Farm office has proudly serviced the people of New Smyrna Beach, Edgewater, Oak Hill, Port Orange, Daytona, and all of Florida with their insurance needs since 1975. I moved to the area shortly after graduating from the University of Arkansas in 1974 and have been driven to help our community thrive ever since. I first knew I wanted to work in insurance when my State Farm agent visited the jewelry store I was working at on a motorcycle while wearing the classic State Farm red polo. I began by going door-to-door and hustled to earn the respect of my customers and community alike.

49 years later, I am proud to say my team has hundreds of years of combined experience and can assist you with everything from Auto Insurance to Life Insurance, Boat Insurance, and more! We are all passionate advocates for our community and immerse ourselves in several local organizations, non-profits, and events throughout the year. I personally have been involved in over twenty different local organizations and community projects throughout the years.

I am the co-founder of the Margarita Ball Society of Volusia County, which has raised over $4 million in toys for children in Volusia County over a 32-year period. I also sponsored and put together the “Worlds Miniature Golf” Tournament in New Smyrna Beach, built a cafeteria kitchen to feed 450 children at the Burns Science and Technology Charter School, and have qualified for numerous State Farm awards including President’s Club, Ambassador Travel, and more.

In my free time, I focus my efforts on supporting a number of local organizations including the New Smyrna Beach Chamber of Commerce, NAIFA, New Smyrna Beach Board of Realtors, New Smyrna Beach Kiwanis, and act as the Volusia County Commissioner for the Florida Inland Navigation District (F.I.N.D.).

Darlene is the mother of two awesome adult children, who make her proud every day. She is also Gigi to a wonderful granddaughter.  As a Navy “Brat” and a Navy Veteran, she lived all across the US and Cuba, but finally found her real home in Port Orange, Florida about 3 ½ years ago.  She has a degree in Business Management and over 30 years of experience in marketing and Customer Service. She enjoys educating her customers about the available products so they can make the wisest decisions for themselves and their loved ones.  When not at the office, she enjoys shopping with her daughter in Orlando or enjoying all the wonders of the beautiful Florida coastline with her sister, brother-in-law, nieces and nephews who also call Florida home.

Jordan is a 2020 graduate of Stetson University and a lifelong New Smyrna Beach resident, graduating from NSBHS in 2016. He spent several years in operations and customer service in a regional department store, before obtaining his 4-40 state insurance license. Jordan studied history and American studies in college, which trained him in critical thinking and problem solving skills. He is looking forward to bringing his experience to State Farm so he can save customers money, inform about auto insurance and other multi-line products, and always prevent and solve problems. When thinking about car insurance, Jordan can’t wait to be good neighbor in the Central Florida community. Since he started, Jordan has also obtained his Life Insurance license and his 220 license.
